Have you ever wanted to send a secret message? Morse code is one of the oldest ways to share hidden information, and it’s still used today in some areas of science and technology. In this activity, kids will learn how to tap out messages using dots and dashes, just like secret agents and forensic investigators might do to communicate clues!
This hands-on challenge is perfect for at-home learning, libraries and classrooms! You can also pair it with a mystery story, and let kids “decode” messages to reveal clues, solve puzzles, or even send secret notes to friends. It’s a fun way to combine history, problem-solving, and STEM all in one activity!
